Not too sweet, not too spicy... this turmeric latte is the one!
1 cup milk of choice. Typically, full fat dairy milk results in the thickest froth due to fat content. I still prefer to use almond milk for this recipe.
2 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 teaspoon ginger powder (you can use chunks of fresh ginger instead and discard before drinking)
Pinch of pepper
Only a small pinch of pepper is required but it is very important! Adding pepper increasing the absorption of turmeric into the body.
In a small pot add milk and combine all ingredients.
Using an electric hand whisker if possible (or normal whisk if not) continue to blend together as mixture slowly heats.
Be careful not to heat too rapidly as this can cause milk to overflow rapidly.
Continue mixing until hot.
Serve and enjoy.
