Golden latte

Not too sweet, not too spicy... this turmeric latte is the one!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of choice. Typically, full fat dairy milk results in the thickest froth due to fat content. I still prefer to use almond milk for this recipe. 

  • 2 teaspoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder (you can use chunks of fresh ginger instead and discard before drinking) 

  • 1/4 cinnamon

  • Pinch of pepper

  • Only a small pinch of pepper is required but it is very important! Adding pepper increasing the absorption of turmeric into the body.

Steps

  • In a small pot add milk and combine all ingredients.

  • Using an electric hand whisker if possible (or normal whisk if not) continue to blend together as mixture slowly heats.

  • Be careful not to heat too rapidly as this can cause milk to overflow rapidly.

  • Continue mixing until hot.

  • Serve and enjoy.
